About Me

Hello, I am Aye. I was born and raised in Burma. Now, transplanted to the middle of America, I straddle between two cultures and two languages. During the day I work in the high-throughput fast paced world of genomics, and at night, I moonlight as a poet and an aspiring novelist. A mother of two, a wife of one, a lover of two countries, and a purser of one dream, which is to write and write without exhaustion and with keen eyes and sharp words.

My work appeared in June 2012 issue of Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, The Spirit of Poe anthology, and in June 2013 issue of Cha: An Asian Literary Journal.

  1. Thanks for checking out my blog and liking several pages. I see you are writing too, when you can. Keep on keeping on… the only way is forward.

Thank you so much for your comment. I have been enjoying reading your travel posts, and then I saw that you are a writer and started reading your stories on various literary magazines. The story that appeared on Pank magazine really caught my eye (and my heart). It’s a pleasure to read your work.

  2. Beautiful poetry.
I’m trying to use creative story telling to document the wildlife I’ve encountered around the world. Would love to get your support and advice!
