Hello, I am Aye. I was born and raised in Burma. Now transplanted to the middle of America, I straddle between two cultures and two languages. During the day I work in the high-throughput fast paced world of genomics, and at night, I moonlight as a poet. A mother of two, a lover of two countries, and a purser of one dream, which is to write and write without exhaustion and with keen eyes and sharp words.
My work appeared in June 2012 issue of Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, The Spirit of Poe anthology, in June 2013 issue of Cha: An Asian Literary Journal and Soliloquies Anthology issue 22.2. My newest work appears in Fall 2018 issue of Tinderbox Poetry Journal.
